About Roger Cooper
Roger J. Cooper is Co-Owner of Red Spear Productions LLC as well as Treasurer of the Off-Broadway Company - Emerging Artists Theatre for the last 15+ years and Past-Producer of Living Room Theatre in Vermont.

Roger got his start in the theatre in England in the mid 1960's as an actor with the first lead as Lew in “Men in Shadow”; Other productions in the UK include “Admiral Crichton”; “The Devil's Disciple”, etc. Moving to Mexico City he was Lighting Designer for all productions in a local Theatre for 4 years and as an actor in many productions including – “Dracula”, “Wait Until Dark”, “Fantasticks”, “Arms and The Man”, Charley's Aunt”. As Actor in Guatemala, he won the Best Actor of the Year Award for “How He Lied to her Husband”; In Honduras he also won a best actor Award for “Chapter Two”. His Film and TV credits as an Actor – “A Home of our Own”, “Cuando Tejen Las Arañas”, “McLeod”, “Actas de Marucia” (the film received an Oscar Nomination as best foreign film).

For the past 20 years Roger has been producing Theatre and Choral group performances with Disabled individuals in Westchester County NY. For the past 15 years he has been involved in over 50 Off-Broadway shows with Emerging Artists Theatre in New York. He was the Past Producer of Living Room Theatre in Vermont with shows like – “Exit the King” (Ionesco); “Men of Tortuga” (Wells) – which then transferred to a full Off-Broadway production; “Playing with Fire” (Strindberg); “Overruled” (Shaw), “Adam and Evie”, “Circle Mirror Transformation”, “Lucy’s Wedding” and “Three Sisters”. As Producer in Films Roger’s Credits include – “Blue Lives Matter”, “Hospital Arrest”, “Renaissance Man” and in a Lead Producing capacity – “Price for Freedom” (with Paul Sorvino, Sally Kirkland, Mary Apick & Navid Negahban).

For the past nearly 10 years, Roger has partnered with Adam Weinstock having together created Red Spear Productions LLC which has been involved with Producing over 30 Broadway, London West End, Off-Broadway, On Tour theatrical productions as well as Movies and Music while also fostering new productions by producing rehearsed readings leading them through the complex process to a full New York Production. During this time, Red Spear Productions have received over two dozen “Tony” (Broadway) nominations and over a dozen “Olivier” nominations (London - West End). We continue to work on new productions and currently have shows on and off Broadway as well as in London.
