About Roger Cooper

Roger J. Cooper Co-Owner of Red Spear Productions LLC is also Treasurer of Emerging Artists Theatre and Producer Living Room Theatre. 

 

Roger got his start in the theatre in England in the mid 1960's as an actor with the first lead as Lew in Men in Shadow; Other productions include Admiral Crichton; The Devil's Disciple, etc. Acting and Lighting Design in Mexico City - Dracula, Wait Until Dark, Fantastics, Arms and The Man, Charley's Aunt. As Actor in Guatemala - How He Lied to her Husband (Best Actor Award); In Honduras - Chapter Two; In Film and TV include - A Home of our Own, Cuando Tejen Las Arañas, McLeod, Actas de Marucia (Oscar Nomination as best foreign film) - Price for Freedom [Winner Best Picture Film Festival in Florida] (With Paul... Kirkland, Navid Negahban & Mary Apick).  

 

For the past 20 years Roger has been working to produce Theatre and Choral group performances with the Mentally Disabled in Westchester County NY and since 2003, he has been involved in numerous Off-Broadway shows as Treasurer of Emerging Artists Theatre in New York and ongoing for the past two seasons - Producer for Living Room Theatre in Vermont - Exit The King (Ionesco); Men of Tortuga (Wells); Playing with Fire (Strindberg); Overruled (Shaw) and in New York Off-Broadway - Men of Tortuga. As Producer in Films - Blue Lives Matter, Hospital Arrest, Renaissance Man and in co-lead producing capacity - Price for Freedom (with Paul Sorvino, Sally Kirkland & Navid Negahban). Broadway Productions under Red Spear Productions LLC include - Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (including Broadway Cast album); Les Liaisons Dangerouses; Nöel Coward's Present Laughter, Sunset Boulevard, and Bandstand.
